Ballet Bun
Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:53AM what you need to create the perfect Ballet Bun hair spray, comb, bobby pins, soft brush, and a hair net.
Grace
Using the soft brush, brush hair into a ponytail diagionally inline with the ears. Lightly spray as you go to eliminate the fly away hairs, holding hair spray 20cm from the head, to create a mist.
When you are almost smooth and bump free use the comb for a final go around , then secure with elastic. getting the hair smooth is the hardest part of the bun and it will take a few goes with the brush and the comb, don't give up.
Wrap loosely the ponytail anti clock wise and securing the ends with a bobby pin, ready for the hair net. resist the temptation to twist the hair, you want a smooth flat bun which will create a beautiful shape with the head.
tuck in ends and place hair net over bun. tuck in any extra hair net and secure with bobby pins. catch hair net and bun hair together and slide pins into the middle. 5 to 6 bobby pins should do the trick.
Finish with a ribbon or scrunchy wraped around the bun. you may need to bobby pin this in.
